Unenroll Courses

How to unenroll a course that was already sent out

If you want to remove a course that was already sent out to your users, you need to unenroll it. You can unenroll a course at any time after it has been sent out, regardless of whether users have already completed it.

To reenroll a course, you must first unenroll it

Unenrolling and reenrolling a course is a good way to send courses to your users multiple times.

For example, maybe your users got our Phishing course at the start of their training, but you want to send it out again a few years later (or after a phishing simulation) to refresh them. In this case, you could unenroll the course then reenroll it to send it out again.

When you unenroll a course, you will also erase any history and reporting data related to that course.

If you want to preserve that history, you must download the data before unenrolling the course. We'll show you how to do that next.

Here's how to download the course data before unenrolling it:

When you unenroll a course, all the past course completion data will be erased. It's important to download the training data before unenrolling a course, if you want to preserve the records somewhere.

Here's how to do that:

  1. Under "Reports" click on "Awareness"
  2. Click on "Add filter" and select "Enrolled courses" as the filter
  3. Type in the name of the course you want to download training history for
  4. You will now see the report of your organisation's completion of that course. You will get data on when the course was enrolled and completed, the user's status for the course, and their quiz score.

  5. Click "Export" to download the data and select that you want to download the "Filtered data" - that way you only download the data for this specific course.

    export data-1
  6. You can now download the report as an Excel file by clicking on the link provided.

Make sure to rename and save the file to a safe place where you can find it later.

You are now ready to unenroll the course. We'll show you that next.

Here's how to unenroll a course:

  1. Under "Awareness" click on "Courses"
  2. Find the course you want to unenroll and click on it
  3. In the right corner, click on the "..." to reveal the unenroll menu
  4. Click on who you want to unenroll the course from. You can unenroll the course from groups, branches, or users.
  5. Confirm the unenrollment

The users will now be unenrolled from the course. This means it will no longer appear in their dashboard of complete or incomplete courses.
