Add own IT security, GDPR, or compliance courses to our platform so you have all your training in one place.
You might already have your own training courses that you'd like to use in addition to CyberPilot's courses.
You can easily add those courses to the platform and use them in your training. Once you add them to the platform, you can enroll them, add them to training plans, and see reporting - just like you normally do.
Here's how it works.
File requirements
Currently, you can only upload SCORM files as courses.
If you have a PDF, you can upload it as a material - see our article on that here.
SCORM file requirements:
- Size: 500 MB or less
- SCORM 2004 4th edition or SCORM 2004 3rd edition
- SCORM 1.2
How to upload your own course
To add your own course:
- Under "Trainings" click on "Awareness" and then "Courses"
- Click "Create new"
- Fill in the details for your course and upload the file(s). See the image and instructions below.
- At the top, select a language and insert the "Course Name" in that language. You can have a course in multiple languages.
- Optional: Fill in the description field. It could be a summary of what the user will learn in the course.
- Use the "Course Languages" drop-down menu to select each language the course is available in.
- Upload the file for the course in each language. Click on the file language to associate each file with it, if you have the course in many languages.
- Optional: Add a cover image and fill out the course dates (when the course was updated and created)
- Click "Create"
The course is now be visible on your "Courses" page and is ready to be sent to users.
Edit your course
To make edits to the course, like updating the course files, or changing the description, click on the "..." associated with the course and then click "Course details".
Here you can make changes to the course and press "Save" when you are finished.
Enroll your own course
The enrollment of your own courses works the same as CyberPilot courses. You can add a course to your training plan or enroll it to a single user.
Reporting for your own course
Your own courses will show up in the "Summary" and "Awareness" reports, alongside any other training you've enrolled. Here, you can track which users have completed it. If you have a quiz in your own course, the quiz score will also be shown.
